Strategic acquisition opportunity

The platform

One app for the whole of a faith life.

Most faith apps do one thing — a devotional, or a Bible, or church announcements. GodAdvocate holds the daily practice and the church together, because in real life they are not separate.

A daily practice

A verse, a short reflection, one concrete practice and a closing prayer — written to be read in three minutes before the day starts.

Comfort for the moment

Say how you actually feel, in your own words, and receive scripture chosen for that feeling rather than a generic encouragement.

A church, not a feed

Prayer requests, announcements, events and groups scoped to one congregation — visible to that community and no one else.

Giving that arrives whole

Donations run through Stripe directly to the church’s own account. GodAdvocate takes no percentage of any gift.

The actual product

Screens from the shipped app.

These are unretouched screenshots of the published iPhone application — not mockups, and not a concept.

In your pocket

Published on both stores today.

One React Native codebase produces both applications, so a feature written once ships to iPhone and Android together — and a buyer maintains one product, not two.

The commercial model

Built on recurring revenue from day one.

The subscription is not a plan — it is live in both stores, priced, entitled and purchasable. The platform is pre-revenue because it has not been marketed, not because the machinery is missing.

Church giving, 0% platform fee

Stripe Connect onboards each church to its own account. Gifts, one-time or recurring, land there directly — GodAdvocate takes no cut, which is the argument that gets the platform through a finance committee.

Church accounts, free today

Any church can create a community and run events, groups, announcements, prayer and connection cards at no cost. Paid organisational tiers are designed but deliberately unbuilt — an obvious first revenue line for a buyer with a congregation network.

Who it serves

Built for a person, and for the church around them.

Individuals

People who want a daily rhythm of scripture and prayer that fits into an ordinary morning.

Families

A read-aloud kids mode, memory verses and quizzes that work for children alongside their parents.

Churches

A private community, an events calendar, a prayer wall, digital connection cards and giving — without a separate vendor for each.

Ministries

A direct channel to followers through announcements and push, rather than renting reach from a social platform.

Christian organisations

An existing platform to build a digital programme on, instead of an eighteen-month build from zero.

Christian media

A daily-habit surface that an existing audience and content library could be brought into.

Built. Not just imagined.

Full technical overview

Where it could go

A platform with several honest growth paths.

What exists today is marked as built. Everything else is named as an opportunity, not implied as a result.

Built today

Individual subscriptions

Plus is live in both stores at $4.99 monthly and $39.99 yearly, with entitlements handled across platforms.

Built today

Church & ministry distribution

Communities, invite codes, branding and admin roles all work. Distribution through a congregation network is the growth lever, and it is unpulled.

Opportunity

Organisational plans

Growth and Community tiers are specified and priced but not billed. Wiring them to Stripe is a defined, small piece of work.

Opportunity

Content partnerships

The content layer is structured data in the codebase, so a publisher’s devotional or study library could be brought in without re-architecting.

Opportunity

Christian media audiences

A media company with an existing audience has the one thing this platform lacks — reach. The daily-habit surface is already built.

Opportunity

International reach

The interface already speaks four languages. Translating the content bodies and localising the store listings opens those markets.

Questions, answered.

Does GodAdvocate take a cut of donations?

No. Giving runs through Stripe directly into the church’s own connected account, and only Stripe’s standard processing fee applies. GodAdvocate never touches the money and takes no percentage.

What is free, and what does Plus add?

The daily devotional, streaks, reminders, the prayer wall, events, reading plans, quizzes and three comfort moments a day are free. GodAdvocate Plus ($4.99 monthly or $39.99 yearly, after a 7-day free trial) adds unlimited comfort moments with follow-up questions, an automatic prayer journal, every verse collection, a 7-day Streak Shield, and reminders on your own schedule.

What can a church manage?

A church can create a free community at godadvocate.com/admin and run groups, events, announcements, a moderated prayer wall, digital connection cards, member invite codes, custom branding and Stripe-connected giving from one dashboard.

Is the data secure?

Every table is protected by row-level security, so a congregation’s events, announcements, prayer wall and member list are readable only by that congregation. Payments run through Stripe, so card and bank numbers never reach GodAdvocate’s servers. Members can delete their own account and data from inside the app.

Strategic acquisition

The platform is available to the right organisation.

GodAdvocate is built, published and monetised — and it is pre-revenue, because reaching congregations at scale takes something a small team does not have. A church network, ministry, publisher or Christian media company already has it.
